CHOLESTEROL FORMULA Gynostemma Pentaphyllum

APPLICATIONS: As a nutritional adjunct to maintain normal cholesterol levels, normalize blood pressure, and control dangerous cortiso! levels caused by the stresses of daily living.

MODE OF ADMINISTRATION:
Oral administration 2 pellets 2 times per day or as directed by your Health Care Practitioner.

INGREDIENTS:  Gynostemma Pentaphyllum

WHAT IS CHOLEX? The main active constituents in gynostemma pentaphyllum are the gypenosides, 82 in all. Technically they are triterpenoids saponins. Even they have a basic four ring steroid nucleolus (triterpenoid saponins usually have a five ring basic structure.) They are not classified as steroirdal saponins due to other molecular features. They a re triterpenoid saponins with a dammarane skeleton belonging to the diol series. Four gypsenosides, i.e., these gypsenosides 3,4,8 and 12 are identical with saponins found in ginseng, i.e., ginsenosides Rbl, Rb3, Rd and F2. Ageing ginseng has 28 of this kind of saponin, gynostemma has 82!

NUTRITIONAL EFFECTS: It seems amazing, but there is research to back up these effects. Of interest, in the discussion of aphrodisiacs is the effect Gynostemma has on the circulation and blood vessels.  Lets first take a look at the other effects of gynostemma: It is an adaptogen; lowers blood pressure; stimulates blood flow in the peripheral blood vessels; lowers cholesterol levels; improves coronary artery circulation; improves circulation to the brain; makes cells live longer (preserves telemeres); enhances immune function; fights against cancers as anti-oxidant and it acts as anti-inflammatory as an expectorant. It protects the liver from toxins. By far the most interesting effect the gynostemma has on human physiology is it fect on the heart and circulatory system. This is where the aphrodisiac effect occurs. Its has been demonstrated that gynostemma given to animal and human subjects leads to a decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure. This happens because the peripheral blood vessels open, reducing pressure. Interestingly blood vessels to the brain and heart (the coronary blood vessels open in this process thus improving circulation to these organs. This may explain why gynostemma is said to increase intelligence and awareness. Combine this effect with the earlier mentioned effect of increasing super oxide dismutase levels on brain cells, and what you have is an herbal brain cell vacuum cleaner! “WARNING!” a rambling aside by Stewart, and other level that raises SOD level in the brain is Ashwagandha A drug that does this Deprenyl, for all your smart drug people out there. But more seriously, Gynostemma is perfectly poised to treat the biggest killer in the western world, heart and circulatory disease.
