The European Common Market (Europa) and G7? | Prophecy: Revelation 13 | |
![]() The seven heads that the Apostle John wrote in Revelation 13 could represent the Group of Seven industrialized countries of the world, referred to in short as the G-7. This group of globally governing countries represents and consists of the seven largest and most powerful societies and economies in the world. Each of the members have well established economies, monetary systems, research and development, and military defense systems with globally capabilities. This group has been very instrumental in the development, financing, and governance of the forming European.Community [EC], and its economic base market known as the European Common Market [ECM], referred to in short as simply Eurpoa.
The Apostle John’s use of the word "heads" in describing this governing body, means leaders, in the same context as "heads of state" but with an international and global authority. The 10 horns represents the old Roman Empire revised (rebuilt and reformed) as the European Community [EC] today. More precisely, it is the member countries that came together in agreement to form the 10 Confederate Common Market within Europe, which was the foundation of the now, more expanded, European Common Market [ECM] of the European Community [EC]. The "horns" the Apostle John wrote about coincides with the10 geographic regions that consisted of the old Roman Empire at its historical peak. And is kept in the same context to mean the 10 Roman ruling governors of those Roman territories [ 10 crowns on the horns ] which equates to the prime ministers and rulers of the current countries [territories] fabricating the European Community [EC] of today.
In verse 11, the Apostle John writes that this revised Roman Empire which could be known today as the European Community [EC] had two horns in authority over its domain and operations. This is in place today, and represents the two governors of the EC that have been recently established to regulate the operations of the major and minor countries and economies within the EC. One governor has been assigned to represent and exercise authority over the major countries contributing to the EC which are the original countries composing the 10 Confederate Common Market of the ECM. The other (second governor) has been assigned to the minor countries and economies consisting of the EC, and performs the same function of the other governor. Both governors have seats within the EC Parliament, and represent their constituencies within the governing parliamentary body of the EC. One can see that this form of government and representation is similar to the governmental structure and operations of the old Roman Empire and its governing structure.

The Group of Seven (G7): Group of Seven (G7), international organization officially established in 1985 to facilitate economic cooperation among the world's largest industrial nations; summit meetings of the member nations began in 1975. Members are Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, and the United States. The G7 discusses and coordinates its members' actions on economic and commercial matters and works to aid the economies of other nations. The leaders of the G7 nations meet annually in member countries. The Group of Eight (G8), which consists of the G7 nations plus Russia, was officially established in 1998, although Russia began participating in some G7 meetings earlier in the 1990s. G7 nations continue to meet without Russia on on certain issues. Emerging nations had long complained that their interests were not addressed during the G7 meetings; these concerns resulted in the first meeting (1999) of the newly formed Group of 20 (G20), with the G7 nations plus Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, the European Union, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, and Turkey. |
